Digital Caliper - Electronic Digital Calipers

The digital caliper is a measuring tool used by all professions and people. When you need something measured accurately or require a specialized measurement, a digital caliper will do the job. A standard digital caliper can measure with an accuracy of .001 inches and .01 millimeters.
Digital calipers are versatile when measuring objects. The jaws on the caliper allow you to use the caliper for many measuring applications.
 | For making external measurements, the jaws of the caliper clamp over the object. |  | For making internal measurements, the reverse jaws of the caliper slide to the edges of the object. |  | To measure depth, there is a stick that slides out at the end of the caliper. The distance from the end of the caliper to the end of the stick is the same as the distance between the jaws. |  | For making step measurements, the front end of the caliper to the front end of the top sliding jaw can be used. | 
With the tare function on the caliper you can measure differences easily by taring the first measurement to zero and take the second measurement as the difference. |
As you can see, with so many ways to take measurements, a digital caliper can measure almost any shape and size. If the standard digital caliper doesn't fit, there are many digital calipers with specialized jaw for any application.
